My Mouthy Stitches swap is complete and in it's new home. After being a bit last minute finishing it I dashed to the post office on Monday morning with this parcel (yes it was in a postal bag too but it's not that pretty) to send off to my secret swap partner.
Inside was this bundle of scraps
and the completed zipper pouch. The 'sew' is actually green which you can't see properly here.
On the back are some more embroidery words inspired by one of my partner's mosaic choices.
So where did it go? Well my secret partner was Laura from Needles, Pins and Baking Tins. Laura's written a lovely post about receiving her gift here and you should go and see the pouch she made too, a mini rainbow swoon, just beautiful! Now I can follow Laura's blog properly, she makes really stunning quilts (check out this one, solids and triangles - a big fav of mine just now) but I've not commented as I thought I might give myself away.
So now I'm stalking the postie for my Mouthy Stitches Pouch...

Wow that is a beautiful pouch!
This pouch is just the cutest I have ever seen!
What a gorgeous pouch!!! I love the way you've put all the fabrics together in colour-blocks.

This pouch is stunning! Simply beautiful! Is the writing on the back your own hand stitching? It looks perfect! This is the first time I have come across your blog but I will definitely be following you from now on!
It's so so perfect, and it's mine all mine!!! Thank you nikki, I love it!!
I saw this earlier on Laura's blog, it looks fab! I may have to mug her for it at Sewing Summit ;o)
It's fantastic Nikki - how did you get the words so perfect - are they tiny stem stitches?
I am completely jealous of Laura! Good thing she lives so far away or I would totally go steal it from her. Excellent, excellent work!
I have now seen this pouch in person on a couple of occasions and it is flipping awesome sauce. I also need to know how you do your applique with that cool background effect - that elise pillow and your 5 superhero shirt look amazing like that.
My scrolling stopped dead in its tracks when I saw your pouch! It's just stunning. So colorful, yet simple. I just love it. The hand stitching just pushing it's perfection over the top. Love it!
