I've not been posting much recently as I've been very busy at the old sewing machine mostly making things for other peeps. I've also been trying to get my shop up and running which has been taking up time as there are issues with the images displaying properly on Folksy. So I've not loaded much for sale until this gets resolved properly. I have had one sale though Yay! This little mini purse went to it's new home last week and I received some lovely positive feedback too.
So there are only 3 mini zipper purses purses for sale in the shop just now, fingers crossed the image display thing gets resolved asap.
So what about the WIPs? Well first up is the Dead Simple Quilt which is sitting patiently waiting for me to baste and quilt. I'll be trying my very best to get this done this week as it's for my daughter's Christmas. The backing is from Backstitch some gorgeous Klona cotton in pomegranate. The Klona is nice and wide so great for backing this quilt. I have taken one of the 12 columns of squares off the quilt front in order to make it narrower and I plan to piece the back, pink, column of squares and then more pink. Kirstin would like this quilt to be self binding so hopefully the backing will be wide enough to allow for this. Can you guess I'm making it up as a go along as usual?
My next WIP is more of a WIW - work in waiting - I was hoping to get this done for Christmas too but it's highly unlikely. The fabric is soo cute I thought I'd share my plans now. I'm going to use the Juice Boxes pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew to make Jamie's quilt from simply the best little boy quilt fabric ever, Children at Play by Sarah Jane.
Finally for now is a new Keyka Lou Bucket Bag that I'm making for a friend to give as a Christmas present. This time I'm using some red corduroy and a lovely retro print, Cream Elements from the Circa 1934 collection by Cosmo Cricket.
I'm now off back to the sewing machine, as time is in short supply just now. I hope you're sewing is motoring along nicely.

Love you choice of material for both the bag and the juice box quilt. Hope your shop is successful, I'll be keeping my eye on it. I'm about to make a lunchbag/bento box using ayumi mills pattern - so I'd best start sewing instead of blogging!
