I don't know about you but I've found getting back into the sewing and blogging harder than I thought after the Christmas and New Year break. However I am now well and truely back to sewing, especially now the kids are back at school.
My first project for 2012 was a present for my wee niece who is 3 today. Happy Birthday Tamar!
There's so many things you could make for a wee girl but I'd really recommend The 3 Bears' Sleeping Bag Pattern by Flossie Teacakes. I was very lucky and won a copy just before Christmas. There's 3 sizes, Daddy, Mummy and Baby Bear this time I made a Daddy Bear sized one. It was a joy to make and I'll happily make many more.
Jamie's already demanded one for his teddy! Although if you saw the state of his teddy (Pom from The Fimbles) I think she's more in need of a trip to a spa and a reconstructive surgeon. She's extremely well loved (= falling apart) and tonight a small incident with a sharpie pen. For some reason he decided to draw on rosy cheeks and yes bum cheeks too!
I have many pre Christmas projects to share and a few presents to show off too but I'll leave that for another time otherwise this post will turn into a ramble-fest.
So a belated Happy New Year to you all and also welcome to my new followers. I was rather tricked to find I've now got 100 followers whoo hoo!!
Bye for now

Very cute little sleeping bag! Glad you are back!
Happy New Year to you too, and hillarious that he drew bum cheeks on Pom!
Hi Nikki,
Super-cute pressie! :-)
I know what you mean about finding it hard to get back into real-life. I haven't done ANY sewing since we returned to Germany after New Year!

Happy New Year! The 3 bears pattern is bliss to sew up, innit? Are you going to the MQG on the 25th?
Happy new year! What, no photos of teddy with the rosy cheeks? ;o) And the WCSMQG now has a website and everyfink, aren't you impressed? http://westcentralscotlandmodquiltguild.freeforums.org/index.php
